James is Assistant Director for Planning, Development and Regeneration at Dacorum Borough Council in Hertfordshire. He is a Chartered Town Planner who has worked for local authorities in the East of England across a full range of planning services since 1987.
In recent years he led on the Hemel Evolution programme of regenerating Hemel Hempstead town centre and the creation and ongoing delivery of the town centre masterplan. Currently in addition to leading planning services at the local authority, he is taking a leading role in the delivery of the new Hemel Hempstead Garden Town proposals through partnership working.
